The Legal Legislation Portal at the Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC) of the Egyptian Cabinet, under the leadership of Dr. Osama El-Gohary, Assistant to the Prime Minister and Chairman of the Information and Decision Support Center, welcomed an international alliance to discuss launching Egypt’s first foreign direct investment (FDI) initiative dedicated to the development of legal human capital. The initiative aims to create new opportunities for students of law faculties at Egyptian universities to acquire modern legal skills and bridge the gap between academic education and the demands of both the local and international labor markets.

The delegation was received by Counselor Ahmed Mahrous, Advisor to the Information and Decision Support Center of the Egyptian Cabinet. The meeting brought together senior representatives of the international alliance, including Mr. Hamoud Al-Fajji, Professor Dr. Nada El-Shazly, Mr. Firas Hajjar, Mr. Khalifa Al-Yaqout, and Mr. Abdullah Issa Ahmed Issa.

The international alliance consists of the Late Mohammed Hamoud Al-Fajji Portfolio for Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development, the U.S.-based Lexzur AI, ESBE College in the United Kingdom, Al-Yaqout & Al-Fawzan Legal Group (YFLG) in the State of Kuwait, and The Law Magazine as the media partner.

The first phase of the initiative will provide free access to the Legal Legislation Library for an entire year to 12,000 students from law faculties across Egyptian universities. This will give them access to a comprehensive legal knowledge base containing the latest legislation, laws, court rulings, and legal resources, thereby supporting their academic studies and legal research.

The initiative will also select 1,000 students to enroll in a specialized professional program in Governance, Risk, Compliance, and Audit (GRCA). In addition, participants will receive training in the latest legal artificial intelligence applications and legal technology, helping prepare a new generation of legal professionals capable of adapting to digital transformation and the evolving demands of future legal careers.

As part of enhancing practical experience, the top 10 trainees will be selected to participate in an internship and professional training program at Al-Yaqout & Al-Fawzan Legal Group (YFLG) in Kuwait or with its regional partners, paving the way for employment opportunities for outstanding participants in accordance with labor market needs.

Members of the alliance emphasized that the initiative represents a pioneering model of cooperation between government entities, international institutions, and the private sector. It will contribute to modernizing legal education, integrating advanced technology into legal training, and preparing highly qualified legal professionals in line with international standards. The initiative is expected to strengthen the competitiveness of graduates from Egyptian law faculties while supporting the Egyptian government’s vision of building a knowledge-based economy through investment in human capital.

For her part, Dr. Rania Lashin, Media Communications and Marketing Advisor at the Legal Legislation Portal of the Information and Decision Support Center of the Egyptian Cabinet, stated:

The initiative aligns with the Egyptian state’s strategic vision of investing in human capital and accelerating digital transformation across various sectors by providing an integrated educational and training environment that enables students to access the latest legal legislation.”
