At least 10 people, including a child, were killed in the Gaza Strip on Saturday as a result of Israeli gunfire and airstrikes, according to Palestinian media reports.
The reports stated that 10 fatalities were brought to hospitals across Gaza following what were described as Israeli violations since dawn on Saturday.
Health officials said an Israeli airstrike killed four Palestinians, including two women and a child, in a residential apartment building in Gaza City.
Paramedics reported that the attack on the building, located in the Sabra neighborhood, destroyed an apartment and injured several other people.
The Israeli military said it had targeted an armed militant but did not provide further details.
In a separate incident, medics said Israeli forces shot and killed a woman in the northern town of Beit Lahia.
Later, an Israeli airstrike reportedly killed at least one person and wounded eight others in Khan Younis, in the southern Gaza Strip.
Gaza’s Health Ministry said that more than 1,010 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks since the ceasefire ended in October last year, while four Israeli soldiers were killed during the same period.
Israel says its strikes are intended to prevent imminent attacks by Hamas and other armed groups.
Israel and Hamas remain at an impasse over how to proceed with the next phase of the Gaza plan proposed by Donald Trump, which includes the disarmament of Hamas and the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the Gaza Strip.
